Membership renewals

Hope you all had a good summer and are raring to go with your quality management work!

I discovered yesterday that our website had automatically mailed out a reminder to paid up members that their subscriptions would expire at the end of this month and they should log on as soon as possible to renew.  My apologies that I did not warn you that this would happen.

Hi

I know people are away and everybody leaves booking meetings until the last minute, but the Understanding Metrological Traceability Workshop on September 14th is only four weeks away and we only have very few bookings.  This will have to be cancelled if we do not have 24 registrants by the 7th September.

Bulk email problems

Hi

I regret to say we hare having some problems with our bulk emails.  We are finding that some email systems (especially Gmail) and several Trust firewalls are blocking either our emails or the IP address of the shared server at our website host.

You can help by ensuring that any emails from mail@aqmlm.org.uk are 'whitelisted' in your email and marked as 'Not spam' if they turn up in your spam folder.  You could also speak to your IT department to ask them to allow us through your firewall.

Quality Indicators Survey

Subscription Fees for 2011 - 2012

Hi

The new subscription year (1st October 2011 - 30th September 2012) is nearly upon us .  Details of how to renew will be posted here at the beginning of September.

The bad news is that we must increase the annual subscription fee from £25 to £30, but the good news is that we are offering a discount of £5 for those who pay online through this website.  So for online subscribers there will be no change in fees, but those wishing to pay by cheque or bank transfer using a paper form, will see the increase.

New feature for Groups!

Hi

As you know, AQMLM allows regional quality groups to join and maintain their identity within the organisation.  To facilitate this, we offer a 10% discount and the opportunity to elect a representative to attend Directors' meetings, for groups of six or more fully paid up AQMLM members. 

We have now enabled group-specific discussion forum functionality.  It works like this:

Understanding Traceability

Members and non-members may now sign up for this Workshop.  Full details and sign-up links are here.

This Workshop will help participants understand and appreciate the underlying concepts and theory of metrological traceability, and provide an opportunity for those in the different disciplines of laboratory medicine to engage in group discussion on how they may be implemented.
