"Effective EQA Management", Tuesday 8th March 2016

"An excellent seminar - thank you!  A useful addition would have been a speaker from a laboratory recently accredited to ISO15189 to pass on how EQA is managed within their laboratory."

"Too much Chemistry!"

"A bit Biochemistry heavy for me!"

"More Histology based talks (needed) especially from UKAS.  I realise people have their own areas of interest but topics could be more general."

"Some useful thoughts but can be difficult to relate to non-numeric discipline ie histology without a clinical chemistry background."

In our defence, we did try to get speakers fom EQA services in Histology and Microbiology, but none were available or willing to contribute to the programme.


"Information Management" Symposium, Tuesday, 10th November 2015.

Some comments received:

There were no negative comments about the presentations but a few people had concerns about not being able to see the screen at the back and the lack of female toilets.  We can address the former but not the latter, regrettably!  There were a number of positive comments about the talks:

"The speakers were very knowledgeable!"

"It was great of the expert patient to do this - very thought-provoking!"

"Wow! I need to learn more!"

"Generally interesting - lots of things I've never heard of - very useful"

"Very good to have patient experience as part of the programme."


"Audit Theory & Practice" Workshop, Thursday 17th September 2015.

The main suggestion for improvement was that there should be more copies of the group audit exercises papers.

There was one adverse comment on the relevance of the Andrology talk and othere relating to the adequacy of the venue and having and earlier finish time rather than the educational content.

"Impact of the Barnes Review on Quality Management" Symposium, Wednesday 12th November 2014.
