How do I get started?
You don't need to do anything to browse the publicly accessible pages.  Just use the tabs and links to move around the site as you would any other

Why do I need a website account?
The main reason is that we need a contact name and email address for those wishing to use the site and interested in joining AQMLM and purchasing products.  The login process also offers a degree of security to our intellectual property and special content.

Why do you ask for so much information?
The minimum information we need to create an account is your username, email address, first name and surname.  The other information is needed when you join AQMLM.  If you are certain you want to join, it is easier to add this information at the initial account creation stage than to edit your profile later, but it is of course your choice what to do.

Is my personal information safe?
Yes!  The data base is held on secure servers with only the minimum of persons having access.  We promise never to give out personal information on account holders and members to third parties unless we have their explicit permission to do so.

Do I have to Join AQMLM?
No, but if our organisation meets your needs and you feel you will benefit from our activites, then we would recommend that you do!  The membership fee is modest, and you will quickly notice that the difference between the member and non-member fees for our activities and products is equivalent to the membership fee anyway.  Indeed we guarantee that during the membership year we will always hold at least one event where the membership fee is covered by the difference between member and non-member subscription fees.  We now add full membership to the non-members event fees, so that those attending our events may enjoy full membership for the remainder of the subscription year.

Can I join AQMLM at any time?
Yes, but you pay the same fee irrespective of the time you join.  You benefit most by joing at the start of the membership year (October 1st)

What is the membership year?
The membership year runs from October 1st to September 30th.  Subscriptions may be renewed any time from September 1st.  Members who do not renew their subscriptions will remain on file and be able to access the public and website account holder's content, but will lose their member benefits if they do not respond to reminders.

What can only AQMLM members access on the website?
The main elements are the reduced fee sign-up links for our activities, free downloads of Symposia / Workshop presentations, and the ability to post topics to discussion forums.  Members may be selectively bulk-emailed with early notifications of important events and activities.  Other member benefits will be added as the website develops.

How do I join AQMLM?
Create a website account by submitting an application using the instructions on the website account page under the membership tab.  When happy that you wish to proceed, click on the Join AQMLM / renew membership submenu item and then select either individual or group membership (see below for the difference).  Click on the 'add to cart' button and proceed to payment.  We now add full membership to the non-members event fees, so that those attending our events may enjoy full membership for the remainder of the subscription year.

What's all this about Groups?
AQMLM is happy to act as an umbrella organisation for local/regional quality groups.  On application from the Group leader, we will assign a Group name and Group ID which enables individual members to receive a 10% discount on membership fees.  Groups maintain their separate identities within our database, which enables us to contact them and arrange Group-specific activities.  Groups with six or more fully paid-up AQMLM members may elect a representative to attend Directors' meetings and may take advantage of private group-specific discussion forums which include document sharing.

How do I pay for membership and other activities?
We use a PayPal business account as a vehicle for accepting debit and credit card payments from website account holders and full members.  PayPal accounts are not needed; just enter a debit or credit card when purchasing products.   We are prepared to assist individuals and their organisations who wish to pay by cheque or bank transfer, but the subscription and event fees are slightly higher.  Please use the contact form to apply for offline payment.  We no longer (July 2015) invoice against purchase orders due to long delays in settlement by some organisations.

How do I find out my membership number?
Log in, go to 'My account' and the membership number is under 'Personal details'.  This number is entered manually, so if it is missing, please let us know through the Contact form.

How do I manage my password?
When you first create an account, you will receive an email with your username and a one-time use password.  You should sign in straight away and then change your password to something easy to remember.  Once you do that, we cannot even see it in your database entry.  It is extremely important to keep your password secure.

What if I forget my password?
Just enter your username and click on the 'request new password link'.  You will be sent an email with a new one-time link.

What if I forget my username?
Please use the contact form and we will advise you by email.

What happens if my address and email changes?
It is very common for people in the NHS to move around and change email addresses.   It is therefore extremely important that you regularly log in and check/amend all your details under 'My account'.  This is especially crucial for your primary email address, which will be the main way that we will contact you.

If you have a question that isn't answered here, please use the Contact form.  Thank you!
