Material for the 14th March Training & Competency Workshop

Hi all

I've just posted the provisional programme for the 14th March Workshop on the Forthcoming Events page.

In the afternoon, we intend to have group discussions on the assessment & recording of technical, clinical and managerial competency.

We would like to invite attendees to submit material - ideas, documents, experiences good & not so good etc, that might form the basis of these sessions.

Season's Greetings!

Dear all,

On behalf of our Honorary President & fellow Directors, I would like to extend to all members and account holders our best wishes for a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year!

Perhaps if you get some time over the holiday, you might log in to your account and update your profile - especially your email address, as this is the main means we use to contact you.

Remember that AQMLM is your organisation.  If there is anything you would like us to do to improve and extend benefits to our members, please let us know!

Kind regards,

Events for next year

Hi

Another year has come to an end, and I think I can say that our events have once again been a success.

I have just updated the Forthcoming Events page with next year's fees and discount system (they haven't changed).  You may now pre-register for any of our four events if you wish, or apply for the multiple meeting registration discount system.

Regards

UKAS Lessons Learnt So Far Seminar 6th September

Hi all

I've sent a mass email about this already, but thought I'd add some more detail in a blog.

At this event, we are hoping to pull together experience from a wide range of laboratories, so as to assess where we are with preparations for and issues during and post assessment.

There will be some formal presentations and, hopefully, some short communications from attendees, but everyone should come with heir own notes, tips and tricks which will help others who are yet to have their assessment visits.

New Quality Management Jobs Forum

Hi

I thought it might be useful to have an area on the website where members can post details of jobs involving quality management in their departments.

Full members should sign in, go to the jobs Forum and post details of the post, a website reference and a closing date.

Let's see how this works!

Upgrade difficulties!

Dear all

Those of you who have been following my blogs will know that we have been trying to upgrade the version of our content management system for this site, from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7.  This was undertaken over the Easter weekend, but a number of problems were identified which delayed re-opening the site for a few days.

I regret to say that since re-opening the site, we have encountered serious difficulties with the integrity of the underlying SQL database, and have had to revert to a backup of the old website content, in order to protect it from further damage.

Happy New Year!

Dear all,

I hope you all have had a good Christmas and are looking forward to a happy and prosperous New Year!

AQMLM is moving forward with what we believe will be an interesting set of events, now posted on the Forthcoming Events page, together with our new fees and discount offer.  We hope you will attend and make these a continued success.

Fees & discounts for next years events

Dear All

We have come to the end of a very busy year with the completion of five events.  The feedback on these has been generally very good, so we are content that we are meeting the needs of members.

The events programme for next year has been decided, and dates and themes are posted on the Forthcoming Events page.  For these, we are proposing new fees and discounts, which were presented at the recent Information Management meeting.

Registration for the Information Management Symposium

Hi all!

I've just opened registration for the 10th November 2015 "Information Management" Symposium.

We are expecting considerable interest in this, so please sign up as soon as possible.  If you haven't renewed your membership, signing up with the non-members fee will upgrade you and save you £5!

This will be the first of our meetings that I will not be able to attend, as the ISO meeting at Geel (I sit on ISO TC 212 WG2) clashes, but my fellow Directors will look after the event and give my presentation.

Subscription renewals

Hi all

We are now into the new subscription year, so it is time for you to renew your full membership if you have not done so already.  Just sign in and go to the 'Join/Renew' page under the 'Membership' tab.  I'll be sending a bulk email about this as well.
